o add an architectural object to an existing context is a great responsibility.
The way the newcomer interacts with the already present spaces and volumes affects the lives of all of it's users and the public moving around it. The object can try to mimic, to blend in, or go for a bang, with a contrast.
In either case, how it meets the surrounding environment is the crux of the matter; the tear in the enveloping context, whether it be urban or rural. How to handle this tearing transition of new and old, added and present, makes for good architecture.
